Udio

Udio will happily give you a full track from a short description, but where it shines is what you can do next. You can extend a clip forward or backward, remix it in a new direction and rework specific sections, which makes it feel more like a creative partner than a slot machine.

We noticed the audio quality holds up well across styles, from acoustic to electronic, and vocals can sound convincingly expressive. It rewards a bit of patience: building a song piece by piece often beats hitting generate and hoping.

That hands-on approach means a slightly steeper learning curve than simpler generators, and credits go quickly when you iterate. There is a free tier to explore, and paid plans from $10 per month add more generations and features.
