Type what you want on screen and get working React components back in moments.
We like v0 most when a blank canvas is the enemy. You describe a pricing page, a dashboard or a sign-up flow in plain English, and it hands back real React code styled with Tailwind and shadcn/ui components, with a live preview you can poke at right away.
Iterating feels conversational: ask for a darker header or an extra column and the code updates in place. In our tests the first drafts were clean enough to paste straight into a Next.js project, which is where v0 clearly feels most at home, given it comes from Vercel.
It is less magical for complex back-end logic, and you will still want a developer's eye before shipping. As a way to skip the tedious first hour of UI work, though, it is a genuine pleasure.
Best for: Front-end developers and designers who already work in React
Mocking up a landing page before a client call
Scaffolding admin dashboards for a Next.js app
Turning a screenshot into editable components
